unexpected flashes of beauty

alot of the time, we get so used to something that when it gets taken away from us, or if we choose to walk away, it just feels so. off. so more often than not, even if we don't necessarily want to stay there anymore, we might not be able to walk away after all...

and now, in the midst of all the mugging, i think it's the small things that make my day. like today i was on the train, and i looked out and saw this tree in the distance that was covered in white flowers. and it looked like it was snow-covered. gorgeous. an unexpected flash of beauty. then all too soon it was gone, replaced by the monotonous facade of even more hdb blocks. but for a moment there, i could forget i have prelims, forget i have to do things i don't want to do like make a portfolio and write even more essays -.-, forget about obligations....

that really shouldn't -be- obligations.

and snow is a really wonderful thing.

mm. and last week we 'celebrated' (if you can count looking for teachers to give them presents then running off to the library to mug as 'celebrating') the very last teachers' day i'll ever have as a student in singapore. (somehow i don't think its a v big deal in uni.) quite sad, really. but yeah appreciate your teachers and all that. i do appreciate them, i don't think i'll ever have such a great bunch of teachers again. i don't dislike a -single- one of them, that's how rare it is mmhmm. ahwell.

alright the books beckon. -makes face- and soon this will all be over, and we will be left with nothing to do. i don't really know what's worse.
