legal theory is in about 14 hours and i am officially screwed. i cannot tell you with complete conviction what hart/fuller/rawls/finnis/devlin/mill/dworkin say, nor can i summarise the hart-dworkin debate or the hart-devlin debate. well done me let's just hope i don't get F.

anyway i just read this in the denise meyerson book which has been really quite useful.

Ill people who feel themselves a burden on their relatives might ask to be killed, or might be pressurised into making such a request, or might make such a choice when they are in a depressed state of mind.

haha ok i think only people who did lawr with me will understand. but once i read that jo's voice just rang out saying 'you PRESSURE someone. you don't PRESSURISE them. you pressurise A CAN OF TENNIS BALLS.'

from the Penal Code

Offences against the President’s person.
121A. Whoever compasses, imagines, invents, devises, or intends the death of or hurt to or imprisonment or restraint of the President, shall be punished with death or with imprisonment for life and shall, if he is not sentenced to death, also be liable to fine.

Offences against authority.
121B. Whoever compasses, imagines, invents, devises or intends the deprivation or deposition of the President from the sovereignty of Singapore, or the overawing by criminal force of the Government, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to a fine.
